The Planning, Analysis, and Evaluation (PAE) Team at EERE assists senior management and technology development programs in strategic planning, corporate and market analysis, and program evaluation activities. To learn more, access the PAE page on this site.
This Office of Budget section of EERE's website provides information on EERE's budget, the measurement of program performance against stated goals, and the integration of performance metrics (and the President's Management Agenda) into the budget-planning process. The office also conducts high-level analyses of key market and technology issues, policy developments, and projected benefits for EERE programs.
The U.S. Department of Energy funds energy analysis activities and produces analysis resources. On the Energy Analysis website, energy analysts and policymakers can access energy analysis products related to renewable energy and energy efficiency, including published analyses, energy data and maps, and analysis tools such as models, software, and calculators.
The Office of Budget provides information that informs policy development and program planning, including market and economic analysis, estimation of the public benefits of EERE's programs, evaluation of past program performance, and a variety of other analytical tools.
The Office of Budget provides guidance to all of EERE's programs regarding the preparation of multiyear program plans, facilitates development and refinement of EERE corporate goals, and facilitates corporate strategic planning.
The Office of Budget leads EERE corporate budget formulation and defense, annual performance plan facilitation, quarterly program performance reporting, and related President's Management Agenda (PMA) topics.
The Office of Budget takes an active role in measuring the performance and conducting evaluations of EERE's major programs.
