- The Greenhouse Gases, Regulated Emissions, and Energy Use in Transportation (GREET) Model
Developed by Argonne National Laboratory, GREET calculates fuel-cycle energy consumption and emissions of greenhouse gases and five criteria pollutants for a given transportation fuel/technology combination. Researchers may input their own assumptions to generate fuel-cycle energy and emission results. - The VISION Model
The VISION transportation model has been developed to provide estimates of the potential energy use, oil use, and carbon emission impacts of advanced light- and heavy-duty vehicle technologies and alternative fuels though the year 2050. The model consists of two Excel workbooks: a Base Case of U.S. highway fuel use and carbon emissions to 2050, and a copy of the Base Case that can be modified to reflect alternative assumptions about advanced vehicle and alternative fuel market penetration.
