Request for Information: Conversion Technologies for Advanced Biofuels
November 14, 2012
The Energy Department has issued a request for information (RFI) to obtain input from
stakeholders and the research community regarding technologies for the
deconstruction of lignocellulosic biomass to intermediates and for the
upgrading of biomass derived intermediates to hydrocarbon transportation
fuels and blendstocks, as summarized in the accompanying draft
Conversion Technologies for Advanced Biofuels (CTAB) Roadmap. Additionally, this RFI is providing all stakeholders with an
opportunity to contribute their views and opinions regarding the Energy Department's draft
roadmap that resulted from its
CTAB roadmapping workshop held December 6–8, 2011. Although the Energy Department may determine as the result of this RFI to issue a
formal Funding Opportunity Announcement, there is no guarantee
that future funding opportunities or other activities will be undertaken
as a result of this RFI.
The
full RFI can be found on the FedConnect website by searching for Reference Number DE-FOA-0000775. Instructions
for submitting comments are contained in the full text of the RFI. When you open the announcement, there will be a
list of documentation on the right side of the screen; click on any
attachment to view it—the "BODY" attachment is the full RFI.
Responses must be submitted through the CTAB Mailbox by 11/19/12 to be
reviewed for inclusion in the CTAB Roadmap.
The
referenced RFI documents are only available through the FedConnect system and
will not be provided by Energy Department personnel via any other means. If you are having
trouble accessing the RFI, please contact the FedConnect help desk to resolve
the issue(s), by phone (1-800-899-6665) or e-mail.
