U.S. Department of Energy - Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy
Biomass Program
State and Regional Resources
The Biomass Program primarily carries out state and regional partnerships through cooperation with the National Biomass State and Regional Partnerships which consists of five Regional Organizations: Coalition of Northeastern Governors Policy Research Center, Council of Great Lakes Governors, Southern States Energy Board, Western Governors Association, and DOE's Western Regional Office. Each Regional Organization provides leadership in its region with regard to policies and technical issues in order to advance the use of biomass.
Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy's Clean Cities initiative and technically administered by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, the Alternative Fuels Data Center is a comprehensive clearinghouse of data, publications, tools, and information related to advanced transportation technologies.
This collaboration of the National Association of State Energy Officials, the Association of State Energy Research and Technology Transfer Institutions, and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) provides funding for state energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.
This collaboration of DOE and the states provides joint funding for state formula grant projects and local energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.
This collaboration of the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy and the National Conference of State Legislatures is an excellent source for state specific biomass resource, policy, and status information as well as current biofuels and biopower technology information.
