The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) held a public meeting to cover the notice of proposed rulemaking (NOPR) for commercial heating, air conditioning, and water heating (ASHRAE) equipment. This public meeting provided DOE the opportunity to present the proposal, discuss the analyses, and respond to interested parties' questions. DOE also sought input from these parties on the planned methods, assumptions, and data sources.

Comments
DOE invites public comment on its determination of scope, test procedure amendments, analyses, and proposed standard levels for amended national energy conservation standards for ASHRAE equipment.
The comment period is open until June 3, 2009 in the Federal Register.
You may submit comments through the Federal rulemaking portal, electronically, by mail, or by courier. Whenever possible, comments in the electronic format should carry the electronic signature of the author. Absent an electronic signature, comments submitted electronically must be authenticated by submitting the signed original paper document.
All comments submitted must identify the ASHRAE Equipment Rulemaking, the docket number, and the regulatory information number (RIN).
