The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) will hold an informal framework public meeting as a first step in the standards rulemaking process for walk-in coolers and walk-in freezers (WICF). This meeting is the starting point in the standards development process. It will familiarize interested parties with the approach and analytical tools that DOE anticipates using, and provide an opportunity for feedback. The meeting will also address the development of test procedures for WICF. In addition, DOE will request information that DOE should consider in its analysis of walk-in coolers and walk-in freezers.
