The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is considering potential standards for commercial walk-in coolers and freezers, which would achieve the maximum improvement in energy efficiency that is technologically feasible and economically justified, and would result in significant energy savings. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss and receive comments about the classes of walk-in coolers and freezers under consideration, the analyses performed to evaluate efficiency standards, potential efficiency standard levels, and other issues affecting this rulemaking.
