Walk-In Coolers and Walk-In Freezers Energy Conservation Standard Framework Document
This page provides information on the framework document for energy conservation standards for walk-in coolers and walk-in freezers (WICF), including how to submit comments.
The framework document is the starting point in the standards development process. It identifies the approach and analytical tools that the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) anticipates using in each rulemaking. The document also identifies issues on which DOE requests feedback from interested parties regarding the assumptions, methodology, and analytical tools DOE proposes to use. In this document, DOE also requests information that it can use in its analysis of walk-in coolers and freezers.
