The Department of Energy (the Department) is proposing to amend its test procedure for residential central air conditioners and heat pumps. The proposal also clarifies issues associated with sampling and rating both tested and untested systems.

The meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2006, from 9:00a.m. to 4:00p.m. at the Department of Energy Headquarters. Please submit request to speak at the meeting no later than August 9, 2006. Copies of the signed original and an electronic copy of statements to be given at the meeting must be received no later than Wednesday, August 16, 2006.
