Battery Chargers and External Power Supplies Framework Document Public Meeting

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) will hold a public meeting on July 16, 2009 to discuss the analyses presented and issues identified in the framework document. At the public meeting, DOE will make a number of presentations; invite discussion on the rulemaking process as it applies to battery chargers and external power supplies; and solicit comments, data, and information from participants. DOE will also invite comment on its preliminary analyses of battery chargers and external power supplies as described in the draft technical report.

Request to Speak at the Public Meeting

Interested parties are welcome to give a prepared statement at the public meeting. The Department must receive a request to speak before 4:00 p.m. EDT on July 2, 2009. Please submit a signed original and an electronic copy of the statement to be given at the public meeting no later than 4:00 p.m. EDT July 9, 2009.

Comments

DOE welcomes comments from interested parties during the designated comment periods for this rulemaking. The comment period is open for 45 days after publication in the Federal Register.

Interested parties may submit comments through the Federal rulemaking portal, electronically, by mail, or by courier. Whenever possible, comments in the electronic format should carry the electronic signature of the author. Absent an electronic signature, comments submitted electronically must be authenticated by submitting the signed original paper document.

All comments submitted must clearly identify the BCEPS rulemaking, the docket number, and the regulatory information number (RIN).
