Residential Furnace Fans Framework
Purpose: The purpose of this framework document is to explain and request comment from interested parties on the issues, analyses, and processes it anticipates using in considering the development of a test procedure and new energy conservation standards for residential furnace fans. Also included in this framework document is a detailed summary of the Department of Energy's preliminary review of existing industry test methods and procedures for measuring the performance of residential furnace fans. The Department of Energy will consider the views presented and comments submitted in formulating its approaches in the test procedure and energy conservation standards rulemakings.

DOE invites public comment on the issues, analyses, and processes it anticipates using in considering the development of a test procedure and new energy conservation standards for residential furnace fans.
All comments submitted must identify the Residential Furnace Fans Rulemaking, the docket number, and regulatory information number (RIN).
