Residential Heating Products Final Rule
This page presents information on the analyses conducted for the energy conservation standards rulemaking for residential heating products. The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) issued a final rule amending the energy conservation standards for residential water heaters, direct heating equipment, and pool heaters on March 31, 2010. The standards established in the final rule will be applied starting April 16, 2015 for residential water heaters, and April 16, 2013 for residential direct heating equipment and pool heaters.
