Residential Heating Products Notice of Proposed Rulemaking Public Meeting

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is holding an informal public meeting regarding the notice of proposed rulemaking (NOPR) for amended energy conservation standards for residential heating products. This public meeting will provide DOE the opportunity to present the proposed standard levels, present and discuss the analyses, and respond to interested parties' questions. DOE will also seek input from these parties on it proposals, methodologies, assumptions, and data sources.

Request to Speak at the Public Meeting

Interested parties are welcome to give a prepared statement at the public meeting. DOE must receive a request to speak before 4:00 p.m. EST on December 23, 2009. Please submit a signed original and an electronic copy of the statement to be given at the public meeting no later than 4:00 p.m. EST December 30, 2009.

How to Submit Comments

DOE invites public comment on the proposed standard levels, methodology, assumptions, and issues presented in the residential heating products NOPR.

DOE's comment period for the heating products NOPR is open until February 9, 2010.

All comments submitted must identify the Residential Heating Products Rulemaking, the docket number, and regulatory information number (RIN).
