Rulemaking for Commercial Pre-Rinse Spray Valves Test Procedures
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to amend its test procedures for commercial prerinse spray valves. The current test procedures for commercial prerinse spray valves are codified at subpart O of 10 CFR Part 431. (10 CFR 431.264)

DOE is also considering amended energy conservation standards for commercial prerinse spray valves. For more information, please see the energy conservation standards rulemaking webpage.
The current energy conservation standards for commercial prerinse spray valves are mandated by Part A, the "Energy Conservation Program for Consumer Products Other than Automobiles" of Title III of the Energy Policy and Conservation Act (EPCA), as amended. (42 U.S.C. 6291-6309 PDF) These products are treated as covered products under Part A. (42 U.S.C. 6295(dd))
