The Hearst Tower: Setting a Higher Standard for Energy and Environmental Design

On January 10, 2007, Brian Schwagerl, Vice President with Hearst Corporation, participated in the Building for the 21st Century Lecture Series, co-sponsored by the National Building Museum and DOE. Schwagerl discussed the planning process for this energy-efficient office tower in New York City. It is the city’s first building to receive a Gold LEED certified rating.
