Effort Underway to Make Lamar Schools 'Green'

Students involved in the City of Lamar Arkansas Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) have learned in real time to install solar panels.  The solar panels installed were acquired by Lamar with funds from an Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Recovery Act grant.   While the Lamar JAG students obtain valuable work skills from installing these solar energy measures, the City saves on electricity costs and achieves its green objectives.
