Building Technologies Program – Net-Zero Energy Commercial Building Initiative

How Suppliers Can Participate in the Alliances

Attend the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Refrigeration, and Controls Supplier Summit in January 2010 to discuss energy efficiency equipment and technology needs in these areas. Learn more.

Suppliers and manufacturers of equipment for commercial buildings play a key role in reducing energy consumption. This page discusses how suppliers can be involved in this effort.

Membership in the Commercial Building Energy Alliances (CBEA) — including the Retailer, Hospital, and Commercial Real Estate energy alliances — is open only to owners and operators of buildings within those sectors. However, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) recognizes the critical part suppliers play in the effort to reduce energy consumption in all commercial buildings. If you are interested in becoming involved with the CBEA, please provide us with your contact information. You can also submit descriptions of new technologies that improve energy efficiency in commercial buildings using the Emerging Technology Proposal Form. Please check the CBEA Web site periodically for the latest news on all the alliances.
