Web-based Training: Implementing Recommendations from the Advanced Energy Design Guide for K-12 School Buildings

Description: This no-cost, online webinar - presented live on April 16, 2009 - provides an overview of the Advanced Energy Design Guide (AEDG) for K-12 School Buildings, including recommendations based on climate zones to achieve 30% energy savings over baseline standard in both new and renovation building projects.

Presenters: Paul Torcellini and Shanti Pless of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory.

Duration: This 120-minute webinar includes a 90-minute presentation followed by a 30-minute question and answer session.

Target Audience: The material targets school administrators, engineers, architects, contractors, and designers working on new school building or major renovation projects.

Learning Units: The American Institute of Architects (AIA) members are eligible to receive 2.0 AIA/CES Learning Units (HSW/SD) for successful completion of the training, which will include a short quiz. Directions on how to receive HSW/SDs and CEUs are displayed at the end of the webinar.
