On this page you'll find links to information on building solicitations and tax incentives for consumers and businesses. In carrying out its vision and mission, the Building Technologies Office conducts a broad portfolio of activities to help make residential and commercial buildings more energy efficient, productive, and affordable.
Research, development, demonstration, and technology transfer is conducted in partnership with industry, government agencies, universities, and national laboratories that are often designed as cost-shared projects. In fact, most of the research conducted by the program is funded through competitive solicitations with partners. The program selects its research partners and projects based on factors such as energy savings potential, likelihood of success, and alignment with the recommendations of industry-developed technology roadmaps.
