Green Team San Joaquin - A program of the Greater Stockton Chamber of Commerce
The Green Team San Joaquin program was developed to create an organization consisting of representatives from private businesses, economic development professionals, San Joaquin County Officials, Unified School Districts, and State Executives in order to fuse the ideas of environmentally safe practices and business exchange. As a collaborative effort, all members of the program work together to provide solutions to economic and ecological challenges. BIRA will educate attendees regarding the Building America Program (BAP) in order to establish new partnerships with those interested in applying energy efficient practices in residential housing. BIRA will provide details related to BAP-supported activities, such as: providing Best Practices Guides and/or Measures Packages Guidelines for new construction and retrofit applications, research and evaluations of advanced and emerging energy-savings technologies, as well as the availability of utility incentives for highly efficient buildings. The Housing Authority of County of San Joaquin is a BIRA team member, and has helped with the Zeta Modular Homes project throughout 2010.
