DOE Holds an Executive Roundtable to Launch the Retailer Energy Alliance
To kick off the Retailer Energy Alliance (REA)—the first of three initiatives that will address different sectors of the commercial buildings market—the DOE hosted the REA Executive Roundtable on February 21, 2008, in Washington, DC. The roundtable explored the ways in which participants' companies are making energy efficiency work for customers, employees, and the bottom line—and the challenges they believe must be tackled to accelerate progress. The goal was to better understand how DOE can provide the right technical assistance to help alliance participants meet these challenges.
