DOE Announces Selections for SSL Core Technology Research and Product Development (Round 5)

The National Energy Technology Laboratory, on behalf of the U.S. Department of Energy, has announced the competitive selection of 14 projects for solid-state lighting (SSL), in response to the SSL Core Technology Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) DE-PS26-08NT00290 and Product Development FOA DE-PS26-08NT00291.

The new selections represent the fifth round in a series seeking to examine high-priority research and development activities that will advance the state-of-the-art SSL used for general illumination applications. The selections have a total value of $26 million.
