Kwik Trip announces plans for expanding natural gas fueling infrastructure

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Kwik Trip Inc., the Wisconsin-based chain of convenience stores, has announced its next series of locations for the continued development of alternative fueling infrastructure for natural gas vehicles. Construction has begun on some sites, and Kwik Trip plans to add 11 stations to the current group of nine that are already offering compressed natural gas (CNG). In addition to the CNG infrastructure, Kwik Trip is developing a liquefied natural gas (LNG) corridor that will run from the Twin Cities to the Wisconsin-Illinois border.

Kwik Trip has committed to developing a functional CNG fueling infrastructure throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa. Currently, there are operational CNG Kwik Trip stations in La Crosse, Wis.; Sturtevant, Wis.; Rochester, Minn.; Oshkosh, Wis.; Minnesota City, Minn.; Owatonna, Minn.; Pewaukee, Wis.; and Sheboygan, Wis.

Kwik Trip plans to open new CNG fueling in the following locations during the spring and summer of 2013: Grand Chute, Wis.; Oshkosh, Wis.; Eagan, Minn.; Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Verona, Wis.; St. Michael, Minn.; Mankato, Minn.; Mauston, Wis.; Baldwin, Wis.; Janesville, Wis.; and Albert Lea, Minn.

As a privately held company, Kwik Trip has taken on the task to expand its fuel offerings using only its own internal resources and expertise. By bringing natural gas to the market, Kwik Trip has positioned itself to provide a better, more affordable fueling solution to the public.

Kwik Trip plans to expand availability throughout its current network of stores as well as building new fueling locations. This will allow Kwik Trip to provide the best and most functional natural gas vehicle fueling infrastructure possible.
