DOE to Conduct Reverse Auction for Production Incentives for Cellulosic Biofuels

The Department of Energy (DOE) today posted a Notice of Program Intent in the Federal Register that the Office of Biomass Program, in the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, intends to conduct a Reverse Auction pursuant to section 942 of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 (EPAct 2005).  Through this notice, biofuels producers and other interested parties are invited to submit pre-auction eligibility information in accordance with the process described in "Production Incentives for Cellulosic Biofuels: Notice of Program Intent" (75 FR 42745, July 22, 2010).
