Clean Cities

Coalition Activities

Everyday, Clean Cities coalitions are actively making a difference in their communities. They work hard to educate local consumers and stakeholders about the program's five technologies to displace petroleum.

Clean Cities coordinators lead coalition activities. Examples of their work include publishing newsletters, helping write legislation, organizing promotional events, hosting informative seminars, and much more. Many of them also partner with their State Energy Offices and other government agencies to leverage resources and increase local opportunities.

Clean Cities coalitions work locally with various fleets and stakeholders to get more people driving alternative fuel vehicles and using alternative fuels. You can read about some of these Fleet Experiences on the Alternative Fuels and Advanced Vehicles Data Center. The fleet stories provide good examples of successes and some difficulties in implementing alternative fuels in various fleet applications.
