Creating Contact Information Labels
Use these instructions to create contact information labels for your Clean Cites public outreach materials. These instructions are for Microsoft Office Word 2007's function for creating mailing address labels.
Some Clean Cities publications have a space on the back for your contact information label.
1. Choose a Template
Follow these steps to choose a template for your contact information labels:
- Open a new document
- Select the Mailings tab
- Choose the Labels button (in the Create group)
- Select the Full page of the same label option (in the Print section)
- Click within the Label section (to open the Label Options dialog box)
- Choose the Page printers option using the Bypass Tray option (in the Printer Information section)
- Choose the Avery US Letter item from the Label vendors option (in the Label Information section)
- Choose 5160 (in the Product number section)
- Click the OK button
- Click the New Document button
2. Customize Your Labels
Follow these steps to customize your contact information labels once you have a blank template:
- Put your cursor in the top-left label
- Insert your logo (Select the Insert tab, choose the Picture button in the Illustration group, and navigation to your logo file on your hard drive. You can also copy and paste your logo from another document.)
- Resize your logo if necessary
- Type your information (name, address, city, state, ZIP code, etc.)
3. Produce Your Labels
Follow these steps to produce a page with 30 contact information labels.
- Highlight everything in the first label (logo and contact information)
- Select the Mailings tab
- Choose the Labels button (in the Create group)
- Select the Full page of the same label option (in the Print section)
- Click the New Document button
You will see a page of contact information labels that you can save and print.
