Fuel Economy Promotional Materials

On October 10, 2007, EPA and DOE made announcements concerning the top 10 vehicles for fuel economy and the importance of continuing to reduce petroleum usage by improving fuel economy. This is a prime opportunity for coordinators to increase awareness with their stakeholders and to publicize the tools that have been developed.

To help the coordinators take advantage of the EPA and DOE announcements, the following resources have been assembled.

Generic Press Release (MS Word 26 KB)
This press release can be used for promoting your Clean Cities Coalition, the Clean Cities and AFDC websites, and other tools that are available. All you have to do is personalize and send it to media contacts within your area.

Tips for Improving Fuel Economy (MS Word 47 KB)
This is a compilation of actions that people can take today to reduce fuel consumption.

New EPA Fuel Economy Sticker (MS Word 76 KB)
This new EPA sticker has a different look and was developed using different methods to determine fuel economy numbers. This describes the changes.

2008 Vehicle Buyers Guide
This guide will be sent to the coordinators in CD format. The guide can be used to compare alternative fuel technologies and vehicles. It was produced in cooperation with Clean Fuels Ohio.
