Criteria for the EERE-Wide Site Name and Subject Indexes

Below are basic criteria for the site name index and subject index.

The Site Name Index provides an alphabetical listing of all EERE sites. The site name index includes:

  • Names for eere.energy.gov sites
    • EERE program sites
    • EERE program subsites, i.e., sites in the program subsite template
    • Other EERE sites, e.g., Consumer's Guide, Financial Opportunities
  • Names for select non-eere.energy.gov EERE sites, e.g., Building Energy Codes

The Subject Index provides an alphabetical listing of topics covered on EERE sites and non-eere.energy.gov EERE sites. The subject index includes:

  • Topics covered on eere.energy.gov sites and subsites
  • Topics covered on select non-eere.energy.gov EERE sites, e.g., Building Energy Codes
  • Select EERE products and services, e.g., Information Catalog and Information Center
  • Technology basics
  • Consumer information
  • Popular topics drawn from statistics and search logs
  • Top-level program names
