Footer Navigation
The footer provides a way for site visitors to contact the Webmaster, find out information about EERE Web policies and privacy, navigate to the site home page, EERE home page, DOE home page, or USA.gov*, and determine when the page's content was last updated.
Rules for Developing Footer Navigation
-
Every office or program page (including all subsite pages) must include an identical footer with links to the following pages:
-
The office or program home page should not include a link to the office or program home.
-
Long office or program names may be abbreviated.
-
The footer links must use these navigational labels in this order, from left to right: [office or program name] Home, EERE Home, U.S. Department of Energy. Second line: Webmaster, Web Site Policies, Security & Privacy, USA.gov*. No label substitutions will be approved.
-
Additional links may be added to the office or program footer, if approved.
-
Every page on each office or program site must include "Content Last Updated: [DATE]" below the links in the footer.
