DOE and EERE Identifiers

On this page you'll find information about how to use the EERE identifier. The EERE identifier, also known as the EERE logo, must be used on all EERE print products.

Only use the files on this page for your EERE projects. The identifier should not be redrawn or altered in any way.

Correct Usage

Two versions of the identifier are available in multiple formats including: one-color (green), four-color (process), black, and reverse. The two EERE identifier colors are green (C89/M35/Y98/K27 or R16/G102/B54) and yellow (C5/M20/Y95/K0 or R243/G199/B39). These can be used for either print or Web products.

Clear Space

Consistent application and positioning of the EERE identifier reinforces the brand. To ensure the prominence and legibility of the EERE identifier, please maintain a clear space area, free of all other text and graphic elements.

The minimum amount of clear space required is proportionally equal to the capital E in ENERGY, and extends all the way around the identifier.

Minimum Size

The minimum reproduction size allowable is based on the width of the identifier. This width varies depending on which version of the identifier you are using. See the diagrams below.

Position

Consistent placement of the EERE identifier is essential. The identifier must appear on the cover of all print materials. It can also be used on the last page or on the back cover of a document.

The upper left corner of the page is the preferred position of the identifier. If design considerations limit the ability to place the identifier in the upper left corner, please use the upper right corner as an alternative position.

DOE Seal

The EERE identifier does not use the DOE seal. If you need the seal for your materials, see the DOE Logo Downloads page on the DOE Web site.
