Communication Standards and Guidelines

Graphic Guidelines for Print Materials

EERE's Office of Technology Advancement and Outreach has developed a new look for EERE print materials. These guidelines are intended to unify all EERE communications and outreach materials and to promote key messages, themes, and initiatives.

Graphic standards are a set of guidelines for implementing an organization's visual identity. The graphic standards on this site govern the correct usage and expression of the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) brand. When used correctly, EERE's visual identity elements facilitate consistent and memorable communications.

Please follow these guidelines and use the approved downloadable digital artwork when representing the EERE brand.

Acquiring EERE Approval

All new EERE print materials must be approved by the EERE Office of Technology Advancement and Outreach. To receive approval of your proposed print materials, please send a Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPEG) image or Portable Data File (PDF) of it to Scott Minos, who will review it and provide any necessary feedback to assure conformance with the design guidelines.
