Templates

These are EERE's official templates. Reproduction templates are currently available for the following materials:

Most templates come in blue and green versions. As explained on the Colors and Fonts page, use the color you feel is most appropriate for your product. Do not use both green and blue versions in the same product.

The templates use basic fonts that are readily available for purchase.

PowerPoint Presentation Templates

PowerPoint presentation templates are available for in several formats, all of which include a title slide, several different layout slides, and a divider slide. The default fonts are Arial and Arial Narrow.

Photos

The blue and green PowerPoint templates come with carefully chosen photos that provide a very general and thematic EERE backdrop to your presentations. Feel free to substitute these images with your own photo.

Instructions for Theme Files

The new PowerPoint 2007 theme file allows you to work with designated slide layouts, colors, and fonts right from within the Theme panel in the Design tab. Please note that PowerPoint Themes are only used with PowerPoint 2007, and cannot be used with earlier versions of the program.

Once you drop the .thmx files into the appropriate folder, you can select the EERE layouts and colors for any presentation without having to use template files.

On a PC using Windows XP, place the .thmx files at this location:
C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates\Document Themes

On a Mac, place the .thmx files at this location:
Users\USERNAME\Library\Application Support\Microsoft\Office\User Templates\My Themes

In both cases, "USERNAME" should be the username you use on your computer.

Business Card Template

The Business Card template is available as an Adobe InDesign® file which can be downloaded and edited in Adobe InDesign® only.

CD Label Template

The CD label template is available as an EPS file which can be downloaded and edited in a graphics package such as Illustrator.

Fact Sheet Templates

These are the EERE templates for fact sheets. Fact sheets describe EERE's programs and activities and explain technologies. These templates are provided as Adobe InDesign CS4 files.

Case Studies Template

This is the template for case studies. Case studies, sometimes called success stories, feature a project and can include both successes and lessons learned. All versions of this template are provided as Adobe InDesign CS4 files.

Report Cover Template

This is the EERE template for report covers. The template is provided as an Adobe InDesign file.
