Content Management System
Here you'll find information on the OpenText Content Management System, including the user guide for OpenText editors, the QA checklist for sites in OpenText, and the 2009 survey report.
EERE uses the OpenText (formerly RedDot) content management system (CMS) to manage its Web site content. A Web CMS is a tool designed to streamline the creation, organization, and management of Web content by separating the editable content from the layout of that content. The CMS also provides workflow and approval processes to help editors, developers, and QAers keep their content up-to-date, accurate, and standards compliant.
User Guide to the Content Management System
A step-by-step guide to OpenText's Web site editing interface, which includes information on how to use the Telerik Rad Editor.
If you have any problems with the Telerik editor, or would like to share your feedback with the CMS administrators, please leave your comments on the Telerik Editor Feedback Wiki.
CMS QA Checklist
When you have added new content or made changes to existing content in the CMS, you must check to make sure it meets EERE standards and the accessibility guidelines set forth by Section 508. Use the CMS QA Checklist to make sure that you've met these requirements.
