Largest Caribbean Solar Project

A 450-kilowatt photovoltaic system, installed by the U.S. Virgin Islands Port Authority with $2.9 million in Recovery Act funding from DOE and technical assistance from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, will generate approximately 15% of the energy needed to operate the airport.

Fire Island Wind

Representatives from DOE's Integrated Deployment program provided technical assistance that helped re-invigorate Alaska's Fire Island Wind Project, which will be the largest wind farm in Alaska when completed.
