American Energy and Manufacturing Competitiveness Summit
December 12, 2013
As part of the American Energy and Manufacturing Competitiveness (AEMC) Partnership, the Council on Competitiveness and EERE will co-host the inaugural AEMC Summit, a first-of-its-kind annual gathering of preeminent leaders from industry, government, academia, labor, and the national laboratories to address critical national imperatives in manufacturing and energy. The AEMC Summit is one of several activities launched through the Department of Energy’s Clean Energy Manufacturing Initiative.
This inaugural event will be a vibrant, action-packed day of announcements, speakers, and exhibits to raise awareness of the importance of innovation and competitiveness in both the energy and manufacturing sectors and therefore, the importance to U.S. prosperity, sustainability, and security. The overall goal is to catalyze concrete actions to bolster energy and manufacturing through this unique event.
Achieving the Goals of the AEMC Summit
By bringing together the best minds in energy and manufacturing, bold ideas, proven research, and a few really cool “gadgets,” the Summit will inspire participants, bring into focus the current energy and manufacturing landscape, and highlight the importance of continued emphasis on innovation in these sectors to America’s economic competitiveness and prosperity.
Participating in the AEMC Summit
We look forward to a broad gathering of business leaders, technology experts, entrepreneurs, and researchers helping to drive the next generation of American innovations.
