Federal Interagency Energy Management Task Force

The Federal Interagency Energy Management Task Force (Task Force) was created by the Federal Energy Management Improvement Act of 1988 to coordinate Federal Government activities in promoting energy conservation and energy efficiency and in informing outside entities of the Federal Government's experience in energy conservation.

Composed of Federal energy managers, the Task Force provides analysis and recommendations surrounding technical issues and the implementation of Federal energy management activities. The Task Force establishes working groups to resolve specific technical or programmatic issues and to develop new initiatives. It also serves as a forum for sharing lessons learned across Federal agencies.

Members

The Interagency Energy Management Task Force is composed of Federal energy managers and members of FEMP. A full list of Task Force members organized by agency is available.

Meetings

The Task Force meets quarterly to discuss energy issues affecting Federal facilities and operations. Meetings alternate between public and Federal-only participants. For a list of upcoming public meetings, please view the FEMP events calendar. Detailed notes from each meeting are available.
