Awarded Energy Savings Performance Contracts
Since the inception of Department of Energy (DOE) energy savings performance contracts (ESPCs) in 1998, more than 225 ESPC task orders have been issued. The private sector has invested more than $1.71 billion in Federal energy efficiency and renewable energy improvements. These improvements have resulted in more than 263.1 trillion Btu saved and more than $4.39 billion of cumulative energy cost savings for the Federal Government.
