Instructions for Handling Self-Extracting Archives

To install software from this site:

  1. Click on the link. You will be prompted to save the self-extracting archive in your local directory.

  2. From the DOS prompt, go to the directory where you saved the self-extracting archive. Type the name of archive, for example, "aseamv5.zip," and the archive will unzip.

  3. In most instances, type "install" to install the software. The installation program will prompt you for the directory in which you wish to install the software, for example, "c:\aseam." Read the readme file for that particular program for further installation instructions.

  4. Your software should be ready to use.
