FEMP Launches New Water Management E-Learning Course

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP) launched a new water management e-learning course designed to help Federal agencies better manage water resources and meet water efficiency requirements.
The water management e-learning course introduces key elements of water resource management, planning, and implementation, providing a comprehensive overview across the following 11 modules:
- Legislative Overview
- Water Management Planning
- Cost of Water/Wastewater Calculation
- Water Auditing and Water Balance
- Getting Started with Water Efficiency
- Facility Indoor and Outdoor Water Efficiency
- Process Water Efficiency
- Alternate Water Sources
- Water Metering
- Water Project Economics and Financing
- Resources and Links
The online course was developed by Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) using materials from a two-day FEMP classroom course as well as interactions with and feedback from Federal energy/facility managers, industry experts, and equipment vendors.
