Operations and Maintenance Best Practices Guide

The FEMP Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Best Practices Guide outlines best practices to help Federal agencies implement effective O&M for systems and equipment found at their facilities.

Following these best practices can help agencies gain management buy-in for O&M programs and save an estimated 5% to 20% on energy bills without a significant capital investment. Depending on the facility, these savings can represent thousands to hundreds-of-thousands of dollars each year.

The FEMP guide is the de facto resource for O&M at Federal facilities. As such, many pages within this section summarize and/or reference the guide.
