What public-purpose-funded energy efficiency programs are available in my state?
Oklahoma has no public-purpose-funded energy efficiency programs.
What utility energy efficiency programs are available to me?
Oklahoma utilities do not currently offer energy efficiency programs to commercial and industrial customers.
What load management/demand response options are available to me?
Oklahoma Gas and Electric offers several load management rate options potentially of interest to federal customers, including:
- Day-Ahead Pricing allows customers to be credited or charged, based upon day-ahead forecasts of hourly energy prices, for usage below or above a pre-determined customer baseline load profile.
- An Interruptible Rider is available to customers with a demonstrated load curtailment capability of 500 kW or greater. A credit factor is awarded per kW of contracted curtailable load.
American Electric Power (AEP), the holding company of Public Service Co. of Oklahoma, offers a real-time pricing (PDF 1 MB, 9 pp) option, along with the Energy Price Curtailable Service Rider (PDF 620 KB, 53 pp). This rider is available for customers with on-peak curtailable energy of at least 2,000 kWh. Customers can choose from two notification periods (day-ahead and current day) and three durations (4 hours, 8 hours and 16 hours). A credit is awarded for the curtailed hourly energy.

What distributed energy resource options are available to me?
The Database of State Incentives for Renewable Energy (DSIRE) provides information on programs that offer incentives for renewable distributed generation. Oklahoma currently has no programs of this type open to federal customers.
Are there energy efficiency programs sponsored by state government?
No state energy efficiency programs are currently available to federal customers. For information on future opportunities, contact the Oklahoma Department of Commerce.
What additional opportunities are available to me?
Federal customers have opportunities to pursue energy-efficiency projects with utilities (e.g., OGE Energy Corp. and Oklahoma Natural Gas Company) that have area-wide contracts area-wide contracts with GSA and, by extension, all other federal agencies. Federal facilities should contact their account executive to determine the level of participation by their local utility.
