Federal Facility Reporting Requirements

Each fiscal year, FEMP issues guidance to assist Federal agencies in providing information for its Annual Report to Congress on Federal Government Energy Management. The latest guidance is outlined below.

Fiscal Year 2009 Reporting Guidance

The following FEMP issued guidance assists agencies in submitting information for the Fiscal Year 2009 Annual Report to Congress on Federal Government Energy Management.

For fiscal year 2009, agencies are required to submit:

  1. Fiscal Year 2009 Agency Annual Report on Energy Management Programs (narrative information)
  2. Annual Energy Management Data Report Workbook, including performance summary sheet and a list of new buildings beginning design since the start of fiscal year 2007.

Instructions and formats for each of these reporting elements are included in the guidance below:

  • Fiscal Year 2009 Energy Management Data Report (Excel 107  KB)
    • Includes formats for reporting energy and water consumption, costs, and facility square footage.
    • Includes formulas that will calculate site and source Btu, unit costs for each of the fuels, energy and water use intensity (per square foot), and national average greenhouse gas emission estimates.
    • Includes formats and formulas for renewable energy use that present agency progress toward new renewable energy goals established by the Energy Policy Act of 2005 and Executive Order 13423.
