Awards Criteria Webinar Offered On Demand
A recording of the March 7, 2012, webinar covering criteria and guidelines for the 2012 Federal Energy and Water Management Awards is now available for viewing on demand.

Each year the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), in conjunction with the Federal Interagency Energy Policy Committee ("656" Committee), sponsors the Federal Energy and Water Management Awards. These awards honor individuals and organizations making significant contributions to the efficient use of energy and water resources within the Federal Government.

Awards recognize outstanding achievements across the following areas:

  • Energy and water efficiency and conservation.
  • Renewable energy implementation.
  • Sustainable practices for high performance buildings.
  • Fleet and transportation management.

2012 Call for Nominations

The 2012 call for nominations is now closed. Award nominations were due on May 2, 2012 and are currently under evaluation. To view the guidance criteria being used to evaluate the nominations you may refer to the 2012 Criteria and Guidelines.

Event Information

Winners of the 2012 Federal Energy and Water Management Awards will be invited to attend a ceremony and reception in Washington, D.C. The events will be held on Wednesday, October 3 (evening reception) and Thursday, October 4 (luncheon ceremony) at the Mayflower Renaissance Hotel in Washington, D.C. Attendance to the events is by invitation only.
