Federal Energy and Water Management Awards

Each year the U.S. Department of Energy, in conjunction with the Federal Interagency Energy Policy Committee ("656" Committee), sponsors the Federal Energy and Water Management Awards. These awards honor individuals and organizations making significant contributions to the efficient use of energy and water resources in the federal government.

Awards recognize outstanding achievements in the following areas:

  • The conservation and efficient use of energy and water;
  • The use of renewable energy sources;
  • Implementing sustainable practices for high performance buildings; and
  • Implementing sustainable practices for vehicle fleet management.

2009 Winners

FEMP has announced the 2009 winners of the Federal Energy and Water Management Awards.

Event Information

The 2009 evening reception and Federal Awards luncheon ceremony will be held October 27 and 28, 2009, at the Marriott Renaissance Hotel in Washington, D.C.

Attendance at the awards luncheon and reception is by invitation only.
