Department of Commerce

Twenty-First Century Citizenship is being fostered by Federal workers like James Crank of the National Institute of Standards and Technology who, by managing the conversion of fluorescent building exit signs to LED signs, is helping the Department of Commerce save $173,000 kWh and more than $8,500 annually, while also inspiring co-workers to pursue additional energy efficiency improvements across the NIST campus.
