Department of Energy

The Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory teamed with local industry and government partners to install a compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station in Idaho Falls. The station will provide clean fuel to the Eastern Idaho area and will save over $50,000 in fuel costs over the first five years. The installation is another step in the expansion of the Department of Energy's alternative fuel vehicle fleet.
