The You Have the Power campaign provides resources including graphics, outreach materials, and information to help you develop an energy awareness program at your facility or refresh an ongoing campaign.

Campaign Materials
Individual campaign graphic elements used to create FEMP's finished materials are available so that you can customize them to fit your needs. Low-resolution campaign artwork is available for viewing and download. To create your own printed materials, use high resolution graphics supplied on A Power Kit: Energy Awareness Resources on CD ROM. The CD also contains the handbook, Creating An Energy Awareness Program, the You Have the Power campaign core graphics, and images for the current Earth Day campaign, as well as previous Earth Day and Energy Awareness Month campaign images. The CD is available to order now. Please call the EERE Information Center at 877-337-3463 to request a copy.
Publications
How to develop a successful energy awareness program is the focus of Creating an Energy Awareness Campaign: A Handbook for Federal Energy Managers (PDF 3.8 MB, 28 pp). You'll find out how to plan, design, and implement your custom program, along with how to evaluate and report your results. In addition, this handbook contains tips on sustaining energy-saving behaviors so your agency will continue to save energy long after the initial campaign. Promoting Energy Efficiency in Military Housing
Details on energy efficiency outreach campaigns at two military bases are included in FEMP's handbook entitled Revised Handbook for Promoting Behavior-Based Energy Efficiency in Military Housing.. (PDF 1.8 MB; 83 pp)
As a result of the FEMP Energy Efficiency in Military Housing outreach campaign, an article was published in the journal, Environment & Behavior, Volume 34, Number 6 (November 2002), that validates the effectiveness of the campaign in terms of behavior modification and quantification of the impact of energy awareness activities at both facilities.
