Summary:

The Department of Energy's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy's Building Technologies Program is seeking applications for applied research in the Solid-State Lighting (SSL) Product Development Program. The objective of this announcement is to support the development of SSL general illumination products that represent the state of the art in SSL performance. This funding opportunity focuses on five areas of interest:

High Efficiency Light-Emitting Diodes (LEDs)
LED-Based Integrated Luminaires for General Illumination
Manufactured Materials - Phosphors, Encapsulants, and Mounting Materials for LEDs
Organic Light-Emitting Diode (OLED) Lighting Panel Design
Low-Cost Substrates and Encapsulation for OLEDs
