Summary:
DOE and its Building America project are seeking applications to find energy efficient solutions for new and existing housing, with the goal of developing cost-effective zero-energy homes by 2020. Zero-energy homes are designed and constructed to produce as much energy as they consume annually. The primary goal is to enable industry to adopt systems engineering approaches to the design and construction of a large portion of all new housing.
