This is the fifth round in a series of funding announcements that support applied research aimed at overcoming the significant technical challenges that restrict the application of Solid State Lighting. The following six areas of interest are included in this announcement:

- Encapsulants and Packaging Materials
- High Efficiency OLED Materials and Structures
- OLED Encapsulation and Substrates
